1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the independent developer in Portugal who makes Meandro ("we", "us"). They cover the Meandro app on Android, iOS and the web, and the website meandro.app (together, "Meandro"). By using Meandro, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use it.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

2. The service

Meandro is a puzzle game. It has three new daily puzzles every day, a practice mode, streaks, leaderboards and optional reminders. An optional account syncs your progress between devices.

The daily puzzles are free for everyone and never show ads. Some extras can be unlocked by watching an optional ad (section 6) or with Meandro+, a paid upgrade (section 7).

We may add, change or remove features over time. The daily puzzles will not become paid without notice.

3. Who can use Meandro

You must be at least 13 years old to use Meandro. In Brazil, you need a parent's or guardian's consent to create an account or buy Meandro+ if you are under 18.

4. Your account

• The account is optional. You can play without one.
• Use an email address you control. The account is for you alone.
• Keep access to your email and your Google or Apple account safe, because they are how you sign in.
• You can delete the account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. That also deletes your synced progress and leaderboard entries, permanently.

5. Leaderboards and nicknames

Signed-in players can choose a nickname and appear on the leaderboards. Your nickname is public, so don't use your real name unless you want to. Nicknames must not be offensive, impersonate someone else or suggest that you speak for Meandro.

We may change or remove a nickname that breaks these rules, and remove results that look automated or manipulated.

6. Rewarded ads

Watching an ad is always your choice. When you watch an ad to the end, you get the reward shown before it, such as more practice puzzles for the day, a streak restore or a recent archive day. If no ad is available, or you close it early, there is no reward. Rewards have no money value and can't be transferred. We may change what ads unlock.

7. Meandro+

• What it is: Meandro+ removes the ads and unlocks extras, such as unlimited practice, the full archive, stats and trail colors. The app shows what's included before you buy.
• Buying: you buy Meandro+ through Google Play or the App Store, which take the payment under their own terms. The price is shown in the store, in your currency, before you confirm.
• Annual: renews automatically each year until you cancel. Cancel in your Google Play or App Store subscriptions at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting the app or your Meandro account does not cancel it.
• Lifetime: a one-time payment for Meandro+ for as long as we offer Meandro.
• Restoring: purchases belong to your store account. Use Restore purchases in the app to get Meandro+ back on a new device.
• Refunds: refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their policies. This doesn't limit your rights under consumer law. If Meandro+ doesn't work as described, write to us and we'll help.

8. Fair use

Please don't:

• attack, overload or try to break into our servers or other players' accounts;
• use bots or scripts to send fake data to our servers, post fake leaderboard results or get ad rewards without watching ads;
• copy the app, its puzzles or its design to make or sell a competing product;
• use Meandro in a way that breaks the law.

Solving puzzles with help from friends is fine. It's your game.

If someone breaks these rules, we may suspend or delete their account. Unless the law or a security reason prevents it, we will tell them why first.

9. Our content

The Meandro name, logo, app, design, puzzle generator and puzzles belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own play.

You may share your results and share cards (the emoji summaries) anywhere you like.

10. Availability

We work to keep Meandro running well, but it is made by a small, independent developer. It may sometimes be unavailable, have bugs or lose sync. Playing never depends on the account: puzzles are generated on your device, so they work offline. We don't promise that every feature will always be available.

We may stop offering Meandro. If we do, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app or on this website, and stop annual Meandro+ renewals. Where the law requires it, we will refund the unused part of a paid period. Where possible, we will help you get a copy of your synced data first.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for lost progress, streaks or data.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or in any other case where the law doesn't allow it to be limited. If you use Meandro as a consumer, you keep all the rights that the consumer law of your country gives you, including the legal guarantee for digital content you buy.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Meandro at any time. Cancel any Meandro+ subscription, delete your account and uninstall the app. These terms then no longer apply to you, except those that by their nature continue (sections 9, 11 and 14).

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Meandro changes. We will change the date at the top. For important changes, we will tell you in the app or on this website at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel Meandro+, delete your account and stop using Meandro.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
